Kristie Says I do to an Eco Wedding
Our very own Kristie has had her eco wedding featured in a Welsh newspaper recently (hurray) The article explores ways in which couples can not only cut their carbon emmissions by having an environmentally friendly wedding but also the cost of their wedding too.
Kristie married Ant last autumn in Wales and the couple ensured that the flowers were seasonal, they made their own table decorations from natural materials and even bought a second hand wedding dress from a charity shop. They had no wedding gift list and instead of hiring a wedding photographer asked guests to take photos and email the best shots to them which they then printed out.
Guests thought the event had a much more personal feel to it and was just as enjoyable as any other wedding they had been to. The day was a huge success and proved that a green wedding does not have to cost the earth.
