New Varieties Added To The Friendly Soap Collection
Here at GreenFinder HQ we are big fans of the cruelty free and vegan soaps from Friendly Soaps. Our favourite is the lavender which smells divine closely followed by the poppy seed and peppermint variety which is really refreshing. As this ethical brand goes from strength to strength we’ve taken a look at what’s been added to the range this year and of course their ethical credentials.
Charcoal Detox Bar
Activated charcoal draws toxins out of your skin, while lime essential oil has an impressive array of properties, including being antiseptic, antiviral and antioxidant. Geoff and Rob, soap makers extraordinaire have mixed it with rosemary essential oil to help stimulate your mental activity and help lift your spirits (A definite must on these cold, dark winter mornings!)
Tea Tree & Turmeric
Another newbie in the range this year combines two powerfully therapeutic substances, tea tree essential oil and turmeric. Turmeric has been used for its anti-inflammatory properties in India for over two thousand years and tea tree essential oil is both antibacterial and antifungal. With rich, natural oils added to the mix this is a warming and refreshing soap, quite unique in its blend of ingredients.
Plastic Free Packaging & Animal Friendly
With the current trend of liquid soaps in plastic bottles we love the fact that the soaps come in an attractive cardboard carton that is recyclable and completely zero waste. In the making process Friendly Soap use as little energy as possible throughout production, pouring, cutting, stamping and packing every bar of natural handmade soap using human power alone. The soaps are also palm oil free so you can rest assured that they don’t harm the rain forest or its beautiful orang-utans.
The soaps make lovely yet practical green gifts and gift sets are also available for both men and women. You can visit the Friendly Soap website here. Each 95g bar of soap retails at £2.11 and their speciality soaps start at £2.62
