Grow Your Own Bamboo Bike

We’ve always loved the idea of bamboo bikes here at GreenFinder HQ – combining sustainable materials with innovation and one of our favourite activities – cycling!

The Initiative has already trained 35 young people and is donating bikes to the local community – including children so they can get to school. Using bamboo for the bike frame is ideal as it can be grown locally, it’s strong, recyclable and cheap to produce.

So any eco entrepreneurs in the UK willing to start growing and producing British bamboo bikes? We’d certainly buy one.
