Bristol Furniture Store Dedicates 200 Trees to Customers

Bristol based furniture and mattress store, Green Woods Furniture, has just passed the 200 mark for customer tree dedications within the local Forest of Avon Trust.

New customers spending £500 or more automatically qualify for a Tree Dedication within the Forest of Avon Trust, helping to maintain and improve new woodland sites for public access and wildlife, as well as supporting the wonderful work of the Forest of Avon Trust.

‘Our environmental policies have always been at the forefront of what we do,’ says proprietor Simon Bennett, ‘to have passed the 200 mark already for Tree Dedications is absolutely fantastic and means that by buying from us, customers are having a positive effect on their local environment.’

All of Green Woods Furniture’s furniture, beds and mattresses are handmade-to-measure in the UK, using materials from either sustainable or reclaimed sources and they have the biggest display range of Abaca organic mattresses in the UK.

Established in 2007, this is a store that’s currently bucking the downward trend for retailers at the moment and shows that a business following green policies can still be successful in these trying times. ‘We seem to have grown with each passing year and have certainly never been busier,’ continues Simon, ‘A big part of what we do is creating made-to-measure pieces for customers, but I think they do appreciate our environmental polices, as well as the fact that we only use UK makers.’
