Earth Hour 2008: Lights Off

Throughout the world people will be switching their lights off at 8 O’clock tonight. Already hundreds of thousands of Australians have flicked the switch to mark the second earth hour, a worldwide movement against climate change. Even Google’s webpage, one of the most visited wepages on the globe is marking the occasion with a black background.

Lights out in Warwickshire

Closer to home, landmarks such as Warwick Castle, the West Orchards shopping centre and the Clock Towers in Rugby will be switching off their lights to save energy and highlight the issue of climate change.
