The Greenest Washing Machine in the West

Alex Gadsden is the inventor of the first pedal powered washing machine. The inspiration behind the ‘Cyclean Machine’ started around five years ago when Alex visited scrap yards and local dumps and could not believe how much was being wasted.

He decided to make something out of waste washing machines and the Cyclean machine was born. Alex took the machine to the to the Big Green Gathering in Somerset untested and believe it or not the washing machine never broke down and ended up being used lots of times. He managed to wash many of the festival-goers clothes and returned home a stone lighter. Since then he has had a lot of interest in the pedal powered washing machine with people from all around the world contacting him to make them one.
