Meet Greenwood's Newest Resident
GreenWood Forest Park in Y Felinheli now has a beautiful new resident – a Peahen. GreenWood has been looking for a Peahen for some time now to join the two Peacocks that they have on site so that they do not stray away from the park.
After a long search GreenWood was contacted by Plas y Brenin in Capel Curig to say that they had spotted a Peahen on one of their buildings roofs. She was taken to GreenWood where, once she has settled in, will be able to spend her days freely roaming the park with the two male peacocks.
GreenWood’s animal welfare officer Gavin Shaw said “Our new Peahen is fitting in very well and is catching the eyes of the two males!”
All she needs now is a name, so if any one has any suggestions for a name for Greenwood’s new peahen, they would love to hear them- Just email your suggestions to ewilliams@greenwoodforestpark.co.uk.
