Subsidised Spaces Available For Local People On Courses At Monkton Wyld Court
Thanks to generous funding from Chalk + Cheese for the Skills for Self Reliance programme based in Bridport, Monkton Wyld Court is able to offer a limited number of spaces on their residential courses related to land-based skills to residents of the south west Dorset area. These course spaces area available at a cost of only £50 residential and £30 non-residential, a savings of over 70%. This month, spaces are still available for Introduction to Beekeeping with David Wiscombe from 27 to 29 May (Friday through Sunday). This course caused a stir in 2009 when Kate Humble participated, featuring it in later episodes of the popular Country File television series.
The Court will also be offering fun at mid-term with special day rates for the ‘Big Kids’ Family Week with Bernard Graves of Pyrites, 31 May through 4 June. Participants can take part in a daily changing range of activities including clay oven building, foraging bookmaking, green woodworking and more.
